Deze witruggier was aanwezig tijdens een roofvogelshow op het Biesbosch Streekfeest 2011 in Made Noord-Brabant) op 2 oktober 2011.
De witruggier (Gyps africanus), soms ook wel de Afrikaanse witruggier genoemd, is een roofvogel uit de familie van de sperwerachtigen (Accipitridae). Een volwassen witruggier is van kop tot staart gemeten ongeveer 1 meter groot. De vleugelspanwijdte bedraagt circa 2,20 meter en zijn gewicht kan variëren van 4 tot 7 kilo.

The White-backed Vulture is a typical vulture, with only down feathers on the head and neck, very broad wings and short tail feathers. It has a white neck ruff. The adult’s whitish back contrasts with the otherwise dark plumage. Juveniles are largely dark. This is a medium-sized vulture; its body mass is 4.2 to 7.2 kilograms (9.3–16 lb), it is 78 to 98 cm (31 to 39 in) long and has a 1.96 to 2.25 m (6 to 7 ft) wingspan.

Op zondag 4 september 2011 was het Roodharigendag in Breda voor jong en oud. Duizenden roodharigen kwamen er op af om elkaar te onmoeten, informatie te krijgen en om zich te laten zien en te laten fotograferen.

On Sunday, September 4, 2011 it was Redhead Day for young and old in the Dutch city of Breda. Thousands of redheads came to meet each other, to get information and to show themselves and to be photographed.
